I’ve been a little lax of late, so have lots to catch up on. To start us off, today saw Mr C and I pay a visit to the Balloon Tree Farm Shop. There were pumpkins, pumpkins everywhere, as far as the eye could see. On trailers, carts, in fields, in baskets, along paths, you get the picture….
Beautiful, buttery soft autumnal light
It’s the great pumpkin, Charlie Brown

The goodies didn’t stop with the pumpkins though, we came away with several treats (sticky ginger pudding anyone?) and 1kg of sloes…
And, I loved this range of sauces and stuffings…!
Before we left, we also got the chance to say hello to some of the local residents…
We then headed off on our way home, stopping en route for a swift pint at one of the smallest pubs I’ve ever seen (think the size of someone’s living room), but one that’s boasted a famous visitor (that’s Mr Redford to you). It also benefits from it’s own orchard and fishing…
The Decor
Just as the sky started to cloud over, and there’s a nip in the air, I’m back home warm and cosy in my PJs and new granny slippers, just the matter of 1kg of sloes to prepare ready for the gin…
